4 Stars Another way to exploit WoW
From the perspective of a hard-core WoW addict, I must say that this does have some appeal to me. While I don’t play games like Magic or Yu-Gi-Oh, I can see how this appeals to those that do as it is very similiar in genre to those table-card games.
However this review is specific to this product and it’s appeal to others who do not play WoW TCG.
This box set comes with a card mat with some awesome artwork, I’ve elected to use it under my keyboard and for my mouse while I play WoW. The poster included features some of the “Elite” cards created for the game and the awesome art of each one, a collectors item for even those who are not WoW TCG players.
The best feature, in my eyes, are the “Loot Cards” which are coded and can be redeemed for in-game items. After buying this box, I recieved my first “Loot Card” - The “Tiny” Mount. (Hardly a Specteral Tiger) I was highly disappointed at this card. I redeemed it in-game at Booty Bay and recieved a “Tiny” White Stallion Mount… A SoulBound Item that can only be used 50 times, WASTE!!!!! It would have had a much GREATER value if the Mount was added to my stable rather than what it turned out to be, again I was HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED.
Overall, however, I do not regret purchasing the box set as the items within were well worth the purchase. Definately for collectors and WoW fanatics.
